“I like to see the glass as half full, hopefully of Jack Daniels.” – Darynda Jones
At Susan’s Fine Wine and Spirits, it’s not about drinking alcohol—it’s about the adroit craft of spirit distilling, fine cocktail making, master brewing and choice wineries. Santa Fe’s firewater culture has been following Susan around for the last 20 years, and now, since opening her own store, not only do we have her great wine knowledge (her recommendations are spot on), but she surrounds herself with a staff that is equally as wonderful. Ask them anything and they’ll tell you a story. And then there’s the part about her having the best prices and selection in Santa Fe.
It is not uncommon to walk into Susan’s Fine Wine and Spirits and pass an hour looking at the stock and chatting to staff. It’s like stepping into your favorite bookstore. The displays have been considered—shapes, sizes, colors and styles surround you, and you may find yourself simultaneously lost and found. One of Susan’s pathfinders will soon be at your side to show you something new. Or something classic (Old Crow anyone?). Their craft beer selection is perfectly informed and, if you can’t make u your mind, create your own six-pack. And Susan’s Fine Wine and Spirits offers fantastic wines at great price. Susan and her staff have tasted each wine and they will tell you the truth about hat they think. It’s difficult to imagine a better place to buy wine in New Mexico.
Something not right? Susan and her distributors fully stand by their products. As Susan says, “Bad things happen to wine, but life’s too short to drink bad wine.” No one leaves Susan’s Fine Wine and Spirits empty-handed or hearted.
One of the oft-repeated favorites from Yelp reviewers is Susan’s location. It’s right there in the heart of everything Santa Fe—a convenient pull-off from where St. Francis and Cerrillos cross. 1005 S St Francis Dr #105, Santa Fe, NM 87505, (505) 984-1582 , and visit their website. Drink differently.
