The Eldorado Hotel and Spa is conveniently located two blocks from the historic Santa Fe Plaza, and adjacent to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Santa Fe School of Cooking, and Lensic Theatre. Santa Fe’s largest hotel, the Eldorado, is an epic example of the best in modern Pueblo Spanish Revival architecture, and at a walking distance or a bike-taxi ride from a host of local treasures such as the stellar New Mexico Museum of Art, and the stupendous New Mexico History Museum. You’ll also be in the neighborhood of the notable variety of restaurants the City Different boasts (#8 in Conde Naste’s top 100 for foodies), but it won’t be a surprise if you find the Eldorado Hotel and Spa has all you need to immediately satisfy any culinary desire or thirst.
Part of the elegant Preferred Hotels and Resorts collection, the grandness of the Eldorado Hotel and Spa is what impresses first. Yet, once you meet the welcoming staff and get settled in a bit, you quickly start to recognize the more casual elegance of this hotel. While there is an abundance of meeting spaces for larger groups and special events (fabulous weddings here!), the Eldorado Hotel and Spa has considered everything to make all guests comfortable, whether part of a larger group, travelling with family, as a couple, or on your own. The Eldorado Hotel and Spa provides a cozy heated rooftop saline swimming pool, hot tub, a state-of-the-art fitness center, art presentations in their new Gallery, fireside lectures, a toy-lending desk, a calendar of events, and a host of further amenities. General Manager Norbert Relecker is proud to share the depth of his involvement in the Santa Fe community (he’s concentrated on local talent for the art collection and demonstrations), and with gratitude he ensures military service people are honored guests with special package rates.
The rooms are, of course, the ultimate in comfort. The beds are plush and beautiful with down pillows and fine linen. Flat screen televisions, robes, the Gilchrist & Soames line of bath products are in all guestrooms, and many have fire places. The pinnacle room, the Presidential Suite, located on the 5th floor, boasts a 2,200-square-foot penthouse patio offering stunning panoramic views of downtown Santa Fe.
The posh spa at the Eldorado is Nidah, and it provides an experience of relaxing refinement. Just as Santa Fe is known for its wonderful blend of cultures and the natural healing properties of stones, plants and herbs that have flourished for centuries in this region, Nidah’s signature treatments reflect the Southwestern heritage through the use of essential earth elements and ancient healing techniques. Honor yourself and your health with their nourishing selection of massages (Nidah’s signature “Spun Gold” treatment is one of those luxuries you will never take for granted), facials, wraps, scrubs, and an array of salon services. Nidah is there to lighten any encumbrance you came in with, yet you will feel like you’ve been somewhere.
The choice to stay at the Eldorado Hotel and Spa gives you direct access to one of Santa Fe’s chicest restaurants and cocktail spots, The Old House Restaurant and Agave Lounge. With signature drinks and fine, chef-driven touches to the menu (before you get inside the bar you can see the dry-age cabinet where they cure their own meat), you are now in the epitome of Santa Fe sophistication - but not snobby - not even close. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the beautiful food and the upscale setting.

Centrally located within easy walking distance to the major points of interest in the city. Spacious and very well equipped for conventions, conferences etc. Staff are very helpful and go out of their way to resolve any problems that might occur. Beautiful large open area off the lobby which is ideal for a cocktail party. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious.
I stayed at the Eldorado for a business meeting in March, 2014. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the beauty of the setting. The convenience to sights, shopping, and entertainment made it an ideal venue for a meeting of professionals. In addition, I am an animal lover and it was great to see people with their canine friends in the hallways and on the elevators. It is often hard to find a hotel which takes pets and makes them feel welcome - there were even water dishes in the lobby! The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful in suggesting local restaurants related to food preference, the closest sights of interest, the safest places to walk. They seemed to have a true affinity for their city and were proud of the many attractions like the Georgia O’Keeffe museum. They answered any and all questions quickly and were willing to assist with any requests. The wait staff were friendly, unobtrusive, and efficient in completing their duties. Those responsible for cleaning the rooms were friendly and efficient. My room was always in excellent condition if I returned during the morning break in the meeting. I also appreciated the couches and chairs placed strategically along the hallways (downstairs) and in the common areas upstairs - they were great places to settle for some of the very productive “hallway” conversations that take place at meetings. Thanks, Eldorado, for a memorable and enjoyable visit! I guarantee that I will return.
We are repeat guests of the Eldorado Hotel. Due to the great service and dining experiences we have had there we continue to return for special occasions. This visit was to celebrate our anniversary and per usual we had an exceptionally positive experience—the staff, the location, the accommodations, The Old House Restaurant continues to amaze - the new menu with beautifully prepared and presented meals, great service and a special dessert for our anniversary. Yum!! Yes, The Eldorado remains high on our “go to list.”
